Popping/Knocking sound on stopping at light with the 2002 E430
Guys/Gals,
There's this guy compaining on the Edmunds.com Town Hall (Edmunds.com -> Town Hall -> Sedans -> Mercedes E Class) about a popping/knocking sound whenever he stops his 2002 E320 at the red light. I've been experiencing this sound and have been meaning to take it back to the dealer about it.
I was just wondering if some of the other owners also have the same problem and if anyone has resolved it.
Basically, you're driving the car and stop at a red light. After a few seconds, you'll hear a popping/knocking sound basically from the rear passenger's side of the car - I initially thought it was the fuel cover unlocking or something like that. Now, I think I just hear one but the guy on Edmunds says there's another similar sound after a few seconds.
I'll listen for the second one and let you guys know, but any input on this issue is appreciated.
