W104 dies as it is warming up.
Hopefully this won't be considered an improper post - I'm asking this here because there are a not nearly as many people familiar with this engine in the SL forum - the car is a '94 SL320.
The car dies as it is warming up. Starts out as poor idle, then gets harder and harder to keep it running. Once it dies, it may be possible to get it restarted using full throttle and LOTS of cranking. If it does re-start it acts just like a flooded engine, slowly beginning to fire one, then another cylinder until all are firing.
Replaced the crank sensor - still acts the same.
Pulled the exhaust at the manifold flanges and it still dies exactly the same.
Tested fuel pressure - shows about 45 psi, pressure does not change when it dies, does respond to vacuum change.
The car does have an OBDII port, but being a '94, as I understand it, it does not have a complete implimentation of OBDII. In any case, it does not show any codes.
