I am planning on doing a little project in the next week or two:

Looking to replace all bulbs in my instrument cluster, not that all are bad only some - but since I am in there and doing the LCD repairs as well...

It's a 2001 E320 and I was thinking maybe converting to LED's in RED or BLUE, but having problems finding accurate conversion information in terms of what LED's sizes / part numbers to get.
I am searching on e-bay and T5 shows up, but not really clear on which ones to get that would fit...

I know the original bulb styles have these numbers:

12V/1.3W bulb: 000000 000977
12V/1.5W bulb: 910141 000000
12V/2W bulb: 001 544 55 94 (The two larger ones for the Speedo and Tach)

But again a search for equalent in LED's don't really show very clear and consistent results....

Anybody out there that has done this switch to LED's and can give some guidance as to what parts / sizes / # to get?

Also any feedback as to how happy you are with that conversion?

Do yourself a huge favor and go back to standard as you can always go back and pimp the wheel wells with lights!!
