Need to Scan Electronic Codes- Scanner suggestions PLEASE!!
2003 E320- I've had a few issue and need to know a good scanner that will read codes or issues with Low beam ballast, SAM, or other components within electrical. I've been to autozone and Oreilly and neither could pull any codes. They said my "Check engine" needs to be on. Current issue: My low beam is off on one side. Its NOT bulb or ignitor. Other issues that randomly occur:
SRS Light comes on randomly then will go off
Sometimes radio won't turn on. then I'll come out of the store and it's on!!
brake light on even after brake change
sometimes the ABS, hazards, or rear shade wont work. Then they will...
So leaning towards SAM Module or something. Please help advise a good code reader that isn't going ot cost me a leg. Or, another way to diagnose DIY
THANKS in Advance!!

If you indicate where you are located there may be a Forum member in your vicinity who would be willing to assist with their diagnostic system.
If not, perform an internet search and multiple threads will come up on this subject. "Mercedes Diagnostic Tool" is a good place to start.
Your radio issue was addressed in a recent thread within the last four weeks (no, I don't remember which thread).

there are hundreds of sensors in modern cars. some even more. only a relatively
small percentage of the sensors are revealable through your basic OBDII port
under the dash.
since the sensors are proprietary, scanners would need to have the proper coding
and advanced features necessary to decode the factory sensors. the cost of
these scanners go up. having the ability to reset the sensor parameters can
be done but limited for the even fancier/pricier appliances.

I bought this scanner a few weeks ago when I was beginning my used car shopping...lots of good features, and works with both Android and Apple phones...well worth the $100
