Ticking Sound
Hello All,
I have a 97 E420 193K miles. Car runs fine, However I hear a tick, tick, tick sound when the engine is running...For the life of me I can figure where is coming from... Car is idling fine...but sometimes it takes longer to start than usual on a warm start...
Any ideas

Out Of Control!!
I know that before you posted, you opened the hood and started the engine and maybe leaned forward to estimate where the ticking was coming from. Then very carefully you grabbed a coat hanger and placed one end in the location and the other in your ear to confirm the specific location----what did you find!
