Body Kits

Hi I have a 97 E320 and I did a search on body kits for the W210 and I really liked the look of the Wald V2 and Carrlson kits for our cars

does anybody know how much these full kits cost?
and does anybody know of any sites where I can order them from

only problem though is that I live in Hawaii, so i know shipping is gonna be KILLER

Mercedes W210 E280

Well, I've got the Carlsson Kit..original price was about RM 16,000..which translate to about US 4500 based on current exchange rates.

The wald kit is sweet, but dunno how much they cost..i know they still sell em in Japan..

Unfortunately , Carlsson germany don't make the kits anymore..you might still be able to find some in the states, or maybe a copy, but I'd stay away from them

The Wald is available and they can ship it to you, just contact them thru their site....IMO not worth the money tho

Which part of Hawaii??? I frequent Oahu a lot, as my GF is from there & have many relatives in Ko Olina and other parts along H1. Have you checked with the "Bra" @ Speed Gear in Ala Moana..they've got the hookups on import-trendz.

Too expensive. the quote I got for an unpainted (obviously) kit was more than 50% more than the AMG kit (shipped to HK). The Wald kit is tight but for that sort of money and for fibre glass and on a car that age, I don't think it makes financial sense....however, if you don't have a budget, then no reason why not.

thanks whitey, ok then what do u reccomend, I want something more reasonably priced yet i dont want it to look stock although i wouldnt mind it looking like the newer style (MY 00-) w210 bumpers

If budget is your concern, I have seen in a number of Japanese magazines some inserts that fit into the flat grill below the bumper (soemthing which I hated too), so that it looks like an MY00+ 9the real ones won't fit our cars) - problem is, how do you get it....... Or else, there are a number of lips available for our cars....do a search for "lips" on this board and you see several examples I and a number of other members have posted. As for bumpers, the AMG one, although arguably not the best looking, is probably the best value for money, IMO - again do a search here, there's been many discussions and pics on what's available for our cars.

well, ive seen the Brabus lip on The Doctor's car and i thnk it looks okay but it still showed that ugly bumper....anyways where do u order the AMG kit and how much will it cost (US)

oh and not to change the subject or anything and since you are a RIMS type of guy, which rims would look good on the W210??

CHROME OR BLACK???

please keep in mind that my car is the UGLY GREEN color so im still debating but i need opinions: GREEN ON BLACK OR GREEN ON CHROME???

also to help further enhance the look, I will be getting the cup kit with #1 pads all around for that TIGHT slammed look, man i cant wait!

I'd imagine black wheels would look distasteful with green.....chrome would make your car look classier

I'll leave it to the others to tell u where an AMG kit can be bought but another more economical way is to wait for someone with a sport package to change and pick up a used bumber (if you don't need the rest)..........

man, that REALLY sucks then. The carlsson kit was my first choice, all i could find was the AMG and the Lorinser kit, but i dont want it lookin like a damn Sentra

anyways, are there any other manufacturers that make kits for the W210

i got mixed reviews on the WALD V2 kit and Im pretty sure that the Auto Couture and FABulous kits carry a hefty price tag on them

BTW, does BRABUS make a front bumper instead of the lip??

lorinser won't fit a 97 anyways

BTW, FAB and Fabulous are different tuners...both make kits for the 210

brabus made lips for the w210, wald is the cloest to the carlsson look, looks about the same to me, so thye could have bit off there style since it is still a fav of everyone's......... lorinser for 96-99 is fugly, but i like lorinser 2000-2002 and also amg, but the new lorinser doesn't fit 96-99 and also auto couture has a heavy price on it, trust me i was going to get it and still might in the future........i have a account set up with a supplier in japan that made be able to hook me up....... well keep a look out

Never knew there was a lorinser for 96-99.....must be real fugly cuz nobody got it
