'Check Electronics' message displayed...
At this point everything feels okay and I have a 52 mile trip home, so I continue driving and again, all feels normal except for the message on the dashboard. About 20 min later while going up a long hill with the cruise at 70 mph, the car slows down to 60, normally the transmission would have kicked down in an attempt to maintain speed but it did not.
Again, all other conditions appeared normal, she shifts through all gears but it appears when it is required to downshift there is no response. Got home, went inside, this morning go to car and upon start up same check electronics message. I have not attempted troubleshooting yet, thought I would throw it out there for suggestions - is this something I could apply some tests to or does it sound like a mechanic / Star diagnosis situation? Thanks -
Update: Appears to have thrown a code related to the turbo wastegate. She has driven fine since the no throttle response moment when the code appeared so I cleared the code and will monitor for now.

W210 is 1st generation of digital car so single code covers several possible issues.
When you can check if the wastegate pushing rod moves freely, more common problem is air leak on intercooling system.
Check all the IC hoses for cuts and signs of leak, what will be greasy spot.
