Instrument gauge Cluster

Hey everybody, I'm fairly new here but I have a quick question. So I have a 1998 E320 pre facelift. My friend has an w210 E320 facelift (Can't remember the year) and She has the newer gauge cluster that just looks a lot cooler to me. I was wondering if there was a way to swap out my old gauge cluster with a new facelift model one? Thanks!

Everything is doable if money and time is not object.
Facelift has whole different electronics and the cluster LCD is having much more functions.
Also the facelift clusters do have ribbon problems, when I did not hear about it on older models.

No I'm not worried about money or time. I'm just wanting to customize my interior a little bit more. If it's doable how would I go about doing it?

I have a 1999 E55 and tried to do that by putting in a new 2002 gauge cluster. The odometer read the other cars mileage and not mine but it plugged right up and worked. Maybe you can take it to a mercedes dealer and have the odometer updated

MB dealerships are not permitted /will not alter the mileage readings on a replacement cluster. The instrument cluster is not the only location where the mileage is stored.
There are enterprises and equipment/software that may do this, but that is entirely up to the end user.
Additionally, whatever the replacement instrument cluster mileage reading shows is what will be displayed once installed, however, it will not match the original mileage in the vehicle.
