Make steering wheel phone buttons support aftermarked stereo.
W210 Facelift
I have a Pioneer DEH-X8700DAB https://www.pioneer-car.eu/no/en/products/deh-x8700dab Stereo in my car, both Dab and mic connected and ready for use. 'Volume' and 'next/prev track' steering wheel buttons is also connected and compatible with the stereo.
Now i'm wondering is there any chance to make steering wheel buttons compatible with the stereo? Phone 'pick up/end' conversation buttons. My car didn't come with a phone feature. I'm getting the message 'Function not available' when pressing phone buttons.
Is it possible or impossible? If possible, please share your knowledge.

I researched this subject for a couple of months since I came from a car with Steering Wheel Controls and was obsessed with it.
Below is the most detailed thread I found on subject and one that includes an answer why the Phone Buttons won't work.

I ordered the CRUX adapter mentioned in the thread but returned it the day I received it. In the end, I decided NOT to install it because the distance of my arm to the radio itself was the same.
