My transmission model number location
I have a 1995 E320 MB but I need to identify the transmission.
Is there a plate where I can find this elusive transmission model number?
Where is this plate? I would appreciate any help. Thanks

why get dirty? couldn't you run your VIN and get the same info, or am I missing something?

Now that I have the part number 722369 04 107833, do I need to match all the digits to find another transmission or just the first 4 digits?
My transmission will NOT go into reverse after it warms up. When cold it will run in reverse but only for 30 minutes or so.

Out Of Control!!
You need to match the following---722.369-----then from your serial number you will be able to determine whether the donor transmission is newer or older than yours.
