Help with a ‘97 E420
I am having multiple issues with this car and wonder if they are related. A few months ago the engine had a ticking sound. It had been sitting for a while so I stared using it as my daily driver. The tick has stopped and the engine runs great..but now sometimes when I restart the car when it is warm it takes longer to start.. Heard it may be the crankshaft position sensor.. But during all of this there is a strong exhaust smell coming from the car like its running rich. No lights are on to check engine. Or any other warning light
Could the Issue be the CPS and maybe a bad fuel injector? I thought the ticking might be a bad injector. This might explain why its running rich..
