2001 E320 Wagon bad right signal (Tailgate Job?)

Hey everyone. I've had the bulbs all the way around replaced, even found a broken bulb standard in the city park housing, fixed. But I've still got the rapid right signal light and the last of the unfixed is the wagon's tailgate. I've got two bulbs wired on the drivers side, one bulb wired on the passenger side and only one bulb working between the three. I've tried cleaning the contacts, switching working bulbs and bulb housings but the two top receptacles do not work, I figure this is pure wiring issue.

Anyone else had to tear apart the inside of their hatch door on their wagon to do this job? What did you learn or I should be on the lookout for?

Gremlins on the wings, not worried so much.

If I were you, I'd test the front and rear SAM's---however, how you do that without the diagnostic equipment is beyond me
