1997 Mercedes 420 Catalytic Converters

does anyone have a source to suggest? i want a number to compare what my mechanic offers. am i correct in assuming there is no repair to a catalytic converter - only a replacement?

thanks for the help...

You can't just cut them open and replace the inside. You can get an aftermarket cat and have it welded in to your exhaust system instead of buying the whole pipe from Mercedes.

That explains why they don't know how to use a voting machine in FL, they are smelling toxic exhaust all of the time.

Those areas were high in people that had relocated to Florida from other states such as New York, New Jersey and Arizona to name a few. I think they were pretty well long gone before they moved to Florida. The rest of the state had very few problems.

Sorry to offend any Floridians. I don't think anyone relocates there from AZ. Most of the time it is a choice of either one. Besides, Arizona has emmission restriction that are about like California's. Just because you can get rid of your exhaust system including the emmission control devices doesn't mean that you should.

Are you kidding? Florida is the fastest growning state in the county. There are people moving here every day from every state in the US. Arizona does have sand and heat but you have no real beach. I'm not putting Arizona down and I know it is a fine state but I'd choose to live in Florida anyday over ANY other state.
