2000 E320---lots of road noise

hey.....i have a 2000 E320 and they seems to be a lot of road noise...especially if you sit in the back seat. it is not the sound of the tires roaring, just an almost constant whooshing sound(only word i can use to explain the sound ) I have the stock 16" Michelen MXV4's, which most E320's come stock with. does anybody else notice this??thanks!

I have a 00' e320 & the only time I had road noise was when I tinted my windows. They had taken out the piece of rubber that sits inside the windows to protect it from road noise.

Re: 2000 E320---lots of road noise

I have Michelin MXV4 on my W210 as well, when the tire was new, it was very quiet, little road noise, but now, after 25K mile on the tire, the road noise can make your ear drum blow . I'm putting sport wheels on it as well (next Friday), along with Michelin Sport Pilot, wonder how the road noise will be.

My W211 w/ sport wheels (and Michelin Sport Supreme tires) is VERY quiet, compared to my W210.

I am somewhat suprise, since my Lexus GS, with Michelin MXV4 tires too, has no road noise whatsoever ???. What's with Mecedes "vault seal" built ?

Zam...I'm running Michelin Sports on my '02 and they are a very nice tire. They make little to no road noise and they are not too soft, not too hard...seems to be just about right! I had Yokohama Sports ES100's prior to these and those son of a *****e$ were way too soft. I went through them in about 8 months....11,000 miles!!!!!!! So far so good with these....

2000 E320 Nice & Stock
I can't find Michelin Sport Supremes Michelin's website. Pilot, Pilot Sports, but no Sport Supremes. I'm probably blind.
