When my car is under load, the center console shifter makes a loud popping noise aswell as visually moves with the popping. There's also a weird noise coming from the passenger side under the hood that sounds like a tapping the gets faster as I accelerate but disappears once im around 45 mph, I can also hear what sounds like an exhaust leak, so my question, is this signs of bad motor mounts/transmission mount? Any ideas are appreciated .

Could be all sorts of things, however if you put the car on a lift and in gear you will be able to determine if the mounts are an issue or continue with your FUYA approach and wait for additional responses.

Seems like every mercedes owner besides me has direct access to a lift, only time mine goes up is if its at a shop, and we both know that costs money, just wanted to see if anyone has had a similar problem, maybe I could save some money rather than shoot in the dark.
