IAC VALVE Location
Plutoe👍Appreciate your efforts.. so according to the exploded viewpoint, it looks like it’s somewhere near the back of the engine compsrtment near firewall? And what exactly is the drawing calling out for item 49?

1996 E320
Stalling at engine idle.
My 1996 e320 is stalling out frequently at idle speed. The rpms will surge up and down between 300 and 500 rpm. Open road still purrs like a kitten. I spoke to a guy at advance and he suggested possibly a dirty IAC. So I been trying to follow that trail . But I have no evidence found on internet that MB actually calls it an IAC. I get random comments on generic possibilities. Can’t find anyone yet with a diagnostic tester to fit this old style connection port. So I’m guessing . Thanks Mr Plutoe appreciate ya. Trying to avoid dealership high cost
