2001 E320 AWD Wagon needs a part

So far on two forums no one has an answer for this part, what it is called or a part number. The reason I can surmize so far is that no one needs it here in North America. I think it's an evap valve of some sort and perhaps this is the part number but again you'll all see that there is no picture associated with it and anywhere you find it for sale, they'll describe it as 'valve' with a price tag of 400 or more. Hardly enough to bring confidence to a purchase right?

It connects to the gas filler neck and to the charcoal canister. I've replaced the purge valve under the hood, the plunger valve on the canister and since doing that I now have a P0446 code and at the same time I cannot fill the car with anymore than 3/4 tank as the car now chokes, it's happened instantly after those parts were changed out. This part when I blow on that hose, is plugged or shut and explains why I didn't have issue's filling the tank before as the plunger valve was stuck open and I was getting a P0455 code (mass leak)

Ok so I'm left with no other option but to pull it, open it and try to repair it. Which means for me, I'll have to put everything back together unfixed as I haven't enough worm clamps should the process go bad, go back into town, get more hoses and clamps and then sit down for destruction.

If anyone has any info on the mystery part that no one else has in their car (I stayed up until 2am searching and could not find one instance of anything outside of a purge valve/plunger valve as part of the emissions system) I need a part number for this thing so I'm assured of what it is and then I can make a decision to buy new or repair this one or at least try. Thanks!

It's a Japanese made Mercedes and that part doesn't exist here! Actually if you follow the link you won't find it there either Bahaha ugh

I'll be putting everything back together, travelling to town, getting hoses and more clamps and then pull that SOB out to try and clean and put back.

Bro.,

As i know; there are two types of Evap. check valves, that only comes with "U.S/Aus" versions:-

A) "000 997 58 87", code # "003/494/F"

B) "210 476 06 32", code # "004/494"

*these two Evap. check valves not show up on "Euro/Gulf/Japanese" versions..

Thanks Zayed. I'm from Canada and this is a Canuck car! I cannot find this part anywhere ugh. Doesn't come up anywhere I look. At a complete loss and going to rip it out and see if I can clean and put back in!

Yeah, "U.S/Canada" are the same,

this Evap. valve can be found with "ECS tuning" or "FCP Euro" or even "pelican parts",,

but you are Right, can't imagine why it's sooooooo expensive like that..?!!?

Hi Zayed! Confirmed. Part number 210 476 06 32

I just pulled it and have blown through all the ports. I can hear the diaphragm moving in the part and the port by my little finger will allow a little air if I suck really hard on it. I think this part is working ok but was stuck.
When I blow on any other port very gently the air will come out the other ports (not the one by my little finger) If I blow on any of the ports very hard, the diaphragm kicks in and allows the air only to route through the port by my little finger. So I think that diaphragm in the middle needs a little cleaning but I don't know what best to clean with? Soak the interior in WD 40? I'm looking at the part it seems like it's all self enclosed, I don't think those star heads will come off so I can take that bracket off.

I'll start another thread and ask others what they think.

The port by my little finger won't let air in but will let me suck air out.

Fixed! Fixed oh sweet begebus my car is finally check engine light free with ZERO codes on my OBD scanner. I took MAS airflow and sprayed every port on this until it was running out like water, did a little sucking and blowing and reinstalled it. All good and so is the beer! Thanks to everyone for helping!
