Just wondering, does the HID light give a better or worst result in the fog? Theoridically a non-white light would be better right?

I'd have to disagree about the brand....some HID's will give you problems bro.....I'd go branded if its electricals. I hope you've fitted your ride with a fire extinguisher in case something happens dude

dave on the brands, i've had 3 different brands...... also i've seen the good ones cause problems as well but i look at how easily you can get replacement parts faster........the good brands will take you forver, my buddy had to wait alomst 2 months while i can get mine in a couple weeks at the most........a lot people with hid's that i see now have the no brand one's and have no problems but it looks sweet in the fog's...i turn fog's on when it's about to get dark and it looks tight..........i should take some pics but i've been lazy.......

I've been using Japan's XTECH 7000K HID fog kit for several months now, problem #1 defective light warning sign when the system is on, it serves it's functional purpose but, I recall the OEM units perform better during fog conditions (tested on I15 via Vegas). Problem # 2 I've noticed frost/cloudy lens buildup on the passenger side, I've been contemplating to downgrade lumen-wise to 4350K.

Also, FYI Dave...the PIAA Plasma Blue 7500K H3 fogs are not too far off performance/cosmetic from the HID kits, just my observation.

Alex,

I need instructions on removing that bumper, and installing those lights. I haven't seen anyone post the install pics yet, although someone said they would. I have someone lined up to install them, but I want to review and ensure "I" understand what it is he is supposed to be doing.

Doc, IMO I think your car looks way better as is, and especially if these new lights aren't Xenon....

i'm too sure on how the bumoer comes off.... i know richard023 and another guy have pictures of the lights on there car, ask one of them for help on it.......as far as installing them it's easy but if someone's doing it for you then they should be able to take off the bumper......

Neicey59,

It's been several month ago (late Nov.) since I've done the projector headlamp install, honestly I may not recall all the detailed steps...I suggest you do a search, forum members; LewS or RandyB had a good writeup in removing the bumper & OEM headlamp assembly.

Good Luck!

The reason you keep seeing these type of "I would" posts is because talk is free .

Pictures require real action, and that could be a problem
