front right side running light
looks like a difficult job. unless it can be done from the outside. anyone done this ?

The side marker lights can be swapped out in under a minute. It's not hard to do.

'99 and '05 E55 AMG
But as the plastic ages, it gets brittle. When I went to unlock the light bulb in mine the plastic shattered. Not expensive to replace; $22 for mine. Be advised my new side marker light had a plastic "pin" on it that I had to cut off so it would fit flush with the bumper (can be seen in the photo; tall round pin on marker to left but not on the right marker). To remove the marker light, just press on the large tab seen in the photo.
