The key is not moving inside the switch

please i need help in thes issue, after I come back from my vacation ( one month) I reconnect the battery and the remote is working as regular .
But when i put the key in the switch I didn’t hear the click sound and its not moving as well , The gear stock also in the parking.... and the battery was in a good condition .

What i can do .

what makes you say the battery is good? what does this mean in a measurable sense? please quantify.

my suggestion would be to charge up the battery and measure the voltage...both at rest, as well as under cranking load

in addition, provide the year of your car as well as the key design it uses. these are important details

Im sorry because I didn’t mention the details,
its w210 E240 1998 elegance withe 6 cylinder,
i feel the battery is good because the lights is working well .
but I will try to change with a new battery , and i will inform if it’s work ,
thanks a lot....

no, you should never assume the health of the car battery based simply on the operation of a light.

you still need to identify the type of key you're using, please. post a photo
