2002 E320 - Stalls Out With Highbeams - ABS Lights On - In-op Passenger Light
Yes - I have en electrical gremlin car I need to get fixed ASAP! Enlisting the help of you all!
Vehicle -
2002 E320 - BASE
230,000 miles
While driving - ABS and related lights will randomly come on.
If you turn on the high beams while driving the car shuts off - all the dash lights come on.
While coasting and you turn off the lights/highbeams the car resumes driving.
Sitting at an idle and you turn on the HIGH BEAMS the car shuts off. You must then cycle the ignition to restart it - no warning lights on.
PASSENGER headlight is DIM - but on.
When High Beams are turned on the entire PASSENGER LAMP turns off and only the Driver side is working.
Car is charging @ 14.2V
Cranking @ 9.5V
Ripple is .48V
New parts include:
Lower Control Arm
Front Coil Springs
Front Shocks
Crank Position Sensor for a RANDOM stalling while driving (happened 2 or 3 times previously and you had to pull over - put into park and wait a few moments to restart it).
^ Possible fault overlap?
Could the Voltage Protection Overload Relay be the issue? Defective? - K40 Relay
THANK YOU

So the end result of the electrical issue was a rotted off ground wire behind the passenger head light.
The ABS traction issue I believe is the "K40" relay. About to pull that out and re-solder it.
