HorizonblusS5,

I was looking at this.
Do not recall or see anything that resembles this rubber knob. Was this replaced at one time?
I would have thought it would (have been) a bolt and not rubber.

Idk. Its been on the car since ive owned it. I dont know what it is or what its called, so i dont know what to ask for when i go try to replace it. Might have to go to the dealership.

If you can, take another photo of it, but not so close, so we can see the layout around it too.

EDIT:
You may want to read up on the link I provided to you.

This may very well be a built-in weep hole.

Ok, so i went to the junkyard and looked at some wrecked E320s to see if any of them had this little hard rubber booty on the car. None of them did, so i got curious and took the rubber booty off, underneath i found a hollow two inch tube. I then found a screw that fit into the tube. Wrapped the screw with teflon tape, screwed the screw into the tube. Fill the car up with zerex anti freeze. Car is running perfect and there is no more antifreeze leaking. Temperature gauge stays at around 80.

good to hear. upload some pics of what you did.
lastly, double check that this is not the weep hole. I sure hate to hear later, it was, and there was a failure of the pump.
just sayn...
