Intermittent Wiper Control Switch

Has anyone installed, or know how to install an intermittent wiper control switch? Hella has one, but doesn't have detailed installation instructions for an E Class. I'm tired of pressing the wiper sweep button every few seconds because the rain sensor almost never works. It's been replaced twice with no success.

First thing first, what year is your Benz. Also I don't believe the rainsensor work for the washer to sweep. That's operator user input.

It's a 2001 E430!

Thanks for your note. I realize the mist function does not work with the rainsensor. I meant that since the rainsensor often fails to activate the wipers, I need to press the mist button manually very frequently.

I contacted Hella about installing their intermittent wiper control switch. They didn't advise it, as they were not sure if it would back feed voltage through the rainsensor electronics.
