Radio Stuck on Wait after Changing Shift module
I recently replaced the shifter on my e430 which was a success! however, my radio now keeps giving me the wait message. I have repeatedly tried entering the correct radio code. I am then confronted with the wait message which disappears after 10 minutes. where i am then prompted to reenter the code and the cycle continues. does anyone have a solution?

I suspect you don't have the correct code for that unit - it has happened where to original head unit was later replaced - the replacement has a different unlock code - the best way to check is to "pull" the headunit and write down serial #.
The Mercedes VMI record will have the original serial # (and original unlock code) - if your unit now has a different serial # - you need a different unlock code

Then goto your local MBdealership with the serial #. Most will (as a courtesy) provide you with the unlock code, OR maybe they will provide it over the telephone.
