Yet another "does this wheel fit?" Thread..
First off, i know this topic has been gone over a million times BUT for sometimes too much info can be as bad as no info at all. Just cant seem to wrap my head around whether or not i can have a staggered set of wheels on the 4matic. As long as the wheels are both the same diameter ,in this case 18", with the same size tires,235/40/18, it would be ok? I am thinkung of purchasing a set of Alphard wheels which are 18x8.5 et35 18x9.5 et40 I also found a set of 18x8.5 et44 Squared with 245x45x18- would i be able to make either set work on the 4matic wagon? Please- in laymans terms! Thanks and sorry if this post annoys anyone..

As long as the tires are the same height you'll be fine. You'll run into issues with the 4-matic if the fronts or rears are much different. You want the front and rear wheels to be spinning at the same speed. Width doesn't matter.

Thanks for the info. Strigoi i was hoping you would chime in! Would you know if the et44 set would need spacers front and back? Its a set of Lorinser LM1 and i thing they would look great and the price is awesome, 18x8.5 et44 245/40/18 for my 2002 e320 wagon. Thanks again and sorry for the redundancy!
