Central Locking System not Working
I posted this on the w202 forum because my issue is with my 1997 c230. Not much activity there and I imagine/hope the procedure to change the air pump is the same on the w210. If I am put of line cross-posting, please forgive me and delete this post. I am trying to find a good video/DIY write-up on how to change the pump in the trunk. This is what I posted on the w202 forum:
My 1997 c230 is having unlocking/locking issues. When the 'unlock' button on the remote is pressed, the green light lights up. When pressed again to lock the car, the red light lights up. The problem is the locks don't lock or unlock. When I push the button on the dash, the locks don't move either. Also, I don't hear any sound from the pump when I pushed the button on the dash.
I am suspecting the central locking pump is bad. Or a fuse. Is the fuse(s) on it's own circuit? What fuse and location powers the system? My interior lights work and come on when I unlock the car with the remote.
Also, is there any DIY videos or write ups that explain the procedure to change the pump out? I have looked and haven't found one.

bbirdwell....thank you for the links, I am reading them now. It seems that the #27 fuse isn't the issue as the dome lights are working. No sound at all from the pump. I'll focus on that.
