Okay I have a 1998 #320 4matic. And just the other day it gave me a error code Brake lining error.
Does this mean change the brake pads or something more?
Have not heard the squeak sound that would come from a worn brake pad.

The Mercedes doesn't have the tab on the brake pad that causes it to squeak when the pads are getting thin. They use a sensor wire mounted in the pad that makes contact with the rotor when the pads need to be replaced within the next 5000 miles of driving depending on your driving.
