2000 E320 "Service in 100 miles" Reset???
How the hell do I reset that thing? I don't want to take it to my dealer and have those clowns charge me just to get rid of the message on the cluster. It's on my dad's 2000 E320. I tried, just after starting the car and going to the screen where it says service in 100 miles, to press R to reset it. After a few seconds, it goes off the screen but it's still there.
So what's the trick?
So what's the trick?

You're Almost There!
At the FSS screen, where you apparently were at, press the Reset R button for approximately 2 seconds until the display shows: "Do you want to reset the service interval? Confirm by pressing R"
Press the R button until a signal sounds. You will receive a message "Service Interval Has Been Reset".
It's in the manual under Flexible Service Interval.

do you do anything different if the timer has already expired? In my case, I let my '99 E430 go until it said, "Service Engine Soon". I did the standard service A (not at a benz dealership), and I can't get rid of the damn message. I've read the book, tried the procedures.. and nothing. Hell, I've even had multiple other people try the FSS reset and it won't work. BTW, I never see the display asking me to reset... should this appear? Please help.. message very annoying!
