Broken engine cover

Hey gang, I was trying to remove my engine cover to clean it and one of the clips broke off then when trying to remove the other clip on the right side I broke the whole thing in half. Any idea what the cost of a new one is? I looked online and only saw a single used one for sale for 90.00 USD is this a decent price?

A gaggle of MB's
Call your closest MB Parts Dept in the morning so you know what a new one will be - if it's a lot - or maybe not-so-much - then decide

I broke the engine cover on my E63. It was only a little over $100 for a new one from MB. The plastic gets brittle due to the all the heat cycles.

I found one cheaper then that. 61 bucks! They said it was because they had to have it shipped in from Germany. I asked a buddy of mine and he said he calls bullcrap! He said because it's being shipped in they are marking it up!

I work at a dealership (not MB) and shipping isn't free. We have to pay for it. No surprise that cost is being added on for the customer.

Where I work, we normally eat the shipping cost unless they want NDA. Then it's $35 for the first 10 lbs and $5 for each lb after. I work in shipping/receiving so I know the numbers we pay for stuff.

I understand marking it up, but to 470 dollars is rediculous!
