Need more info/ history.
No noise ticking noise when it's cold.
How old is your oil? spark plugs?
sticky lifters?
check belt tensioner too.
The simple things first.
Actually oil I do not know as I bought the car recently. Spark plugs the same.
What means sticky lifters? How can I Confirm?
Always change the O&F, fluids, unless you have proof from the seller, it's already been done. Cheap investment.
As for motor oil - synthetic or non-synthetic - it's a personal preference. Do a search on the forum to read other members experiences in this area.
Check your spark plugs. Again, plenty of DIY info on how-to. Quite easy.
Sticky lifters can occur regardless of whether the engine is hot or cold some reading for you. Do a search on the topic and read more.
I do not know if this is your situation specifically, but you should first do your fluid changes and then access the situation again.
I used both Marvel mystery oil and Berryman for treatment.
