Was the E430 4matic wagon ever offered in the US? I'm looking to buy one but can't locate one

Yes - but please understand - where the 4matic wagon model has a suspension system (especially front) which is a bit challenging - and a bit costly to service/repair as compared to the standard wagon.

I have never seen a 430 wagon. I thought the wagons only came over with the v6

No E430 (or E55) wagon in the US. We only got the E320 ones here.

very few exist……known as the Avante Garde edition S210.
only sold in Europe and Japan. I have one being shipped to the US currently.
