I now drive a E500
I love those new lights. However, it seems everyone is running into so many problem. Can some one tell me which one's to buy for my 02 E320, and can I install them my self? Help before placing order!

If you're inquiring about the H7, halogen projector clear lens, the least expensive appears to be Autodynamic. And if you're even least discriminating about beam pattern and light coverage, you'll need to be clear that purchasing this $400 set is only the first step.
a - you can try picking up the highly recommended Philips Blue Vision from Powerbulbs.com (they seem to be cheapest)
b - you can try the Sylvania Silverstars (easier to find in the US) but a scootch less perceived brightness
c - dump your projector (housing only) and shoehorn a quality, made for
halogen bulb projector housing (along with A or B)
d - try making your own by rebasing your H7 into HID and buying HID designed projector housing and inserting the unit into your Autodynamic shell. (See HID Tech )
e - forego A, B, C, D and pick up OEM HID for $1500....eg Bekkers or Steve at MBenzNL (Doctor/Mike had used OEM available last week so dbl check with him on availability/fit)

Package from Powerbulbs arrived today, less than a week after online ordering. Small surprise - instead of the 2 pack I expected, it was a 4-pack. You'll see that it included W5W bulbs and these fit the parking light fixture. So I tried them out. The W5Ws dimished the yellowish hue that I abhored so, bringing the temperature (factory is on left, BV on right) up closer to the halogens - sweet!
It wasn't dark yet so I didn't take photos comparing the Silverstars H7s I had behind the projecter, vs the H7 BlueVisions. Under direct viewing (vs reflective) the BVs were whiter, lending to perceieved brighter light in comparison to the Sylv.Silverstars
Powerbulb dinged my VISA for $53 per twin pack.

def, ruffrob. so for now, we have few dollars available for illum sills...or EKlasse's CLK door lock thingy, or gas fill up, eh? :-) I know I still want to try zam2000's suggestion of swapping out the Depo proj unit for Hella to get those funky pencil beam patterns out of the picture, but that's down the road. Dropped the BVs into the high beam sockets as well. niiiice.

It's cool, but for my blood,I'd like to get a mod that just a tad more noticeable. But the price is definitely right. The last thing I get Ray,will be an exhaust tip,and the roof fixed.
