1992 E300 4matic yes another should I thread.

I can pick one of these up for 300 or less. Been sitting for 5 years but runs and drives. The rear brakes are stuck,that's all I know for now until I go look at it.

Body is in good shape, car is water tight , no concerning rust on the outside.

It would have to drive 100 miles back to my place.

Yes Im an idiot , talk me out of this but also tell me what to look out for other than the obvious...Never mind include the obvious also!

U are looking out for a lot of troubles .... if you know this cars then this particular has been sitting for 5 years gives tou a lot of headache and money , honestly i would buy a car which is on the road daily even bit older or more milage but then you know it deives as it should and everything else is in working order at least most of it ... you can find a nice one between 1500-2500 with lot less or no work needed , good luck

1922 Ford Model T / no OBD
1992 was W124 body and had totally different 4Matic system, who was engaging on and off under the load. You can guess, that the system did not last.

I disagree, I think it would be a great car to learn on. Plus we will have a new member who will be bombarding the forum with the famous Oh my God comments. That pumps up the forums stats which improves ad revenue. A a great five year project and we need the parts sales to help the local economy. Go for it!
