98 E300TDT Blockheater Cord

I know this has been talked about about in different forums on line, but what is the actual part number for the cord?

I am about to take possession of a 1998 E300TDT wagon and I did not see a cord when I viewed it, and it would certainly appreciate it once winter comes.

I went to the dealer, and besides their systems not liking the VIN, they could not find a cord only for this model. They "assume" it is the same as "what was common of the older ones", and have ordered one for their stock and will call me when it arrives, if it is not right, no obligation.

I am wondering if someone actually knows the part number.

US diesels come with the cord from factory, but I read in other topic that you are getting Japanese model.
Still chases are the cord is hidden between radiator shrouds, so I would not spend money till final confirmation.
I had W124 diesel, where US models had heater installed at factory, but no cable. So after checking the cable was close to $100, I was able to fit the cable from electric blanket, who went right over the prongs.

I know that, my old 95 E300D had the heater but no cord, I just don't have the part number as when I sold that car, I gave all the records to the new owner which included that part order.

I will wait until the car arrives, I just figured since I have to get a safety inspection done, and it has to go on the hoist, it would be great to have it ready so it could be installed at the same time.

I know that the heater is not that critical, but nice and better for the car in the long run.

I had the 1998 diesel in California and never plug it, even we had a number of days with morning freeze.
New diesels deal with cold better and better.
The 1998 engine still has IP, but reading Polish forum, lot of owners of common rail diesels don't have electricity where they park, so they start the engine in cold just fine.
I know Canadians W211 have 12V electric cabin heaters with 200 amp alternators.
I order such heater for my new Ford truck and it come handy on last Alaskan vacations.
Cheap option when you are getting it, but make for way better comfort when you need it.
Still waiting for pictures. Diesel MB wagon on American soil.... something unseen for decades.
