Dreaded p0715
Hello,
Okay so I have a 99 e300 td that is stuck in limp mode I have replaced the 13 pin connector cleaned the wiring harness and the tcu which didn't have any oil on it luckely bone dry. I also had a lovely bath in atf as I swapped the conductor plate yet I still have this stupid p0715 I've connected scanner to the under dash cleared the codes ordered the 38 pin connector for under hood cleared the codes, yet still plagued by this code locking me in limp. I'm at my wit's end and about read to rip the motor out and throw it in a wrangler. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Out Of Control!!
You can pull a sausage ***** and continue to guess or have someone read the TCU for the real fault code and issue. Then simply fix the issue

So here is the problem with having someone pull the codes in the lovely state of Arkansas no one has the computer that will even the dealership said it's to old for our systems to talk to it. So at this point I'm at a bit of a loss other than reaching out to this.

Assuming yours is after 03/99 build (like mine) either a DAS Xentry or an aftermarket code reader w/ 38-pin adapter cable will work.
Do an internet search on code readers and Mercedes W210. You'll pull up links such as this one:
https://www.mercedesmedic.com/best-o...r-diagnostics/
You're going to want one with a 38-pin connector or one for which the 38-pin connector is an option.
