'99 W210 E320 SRS Light/Button Question
Hi all, new to the forum. I'm helping a friend with his '99 E320 4Matic W210 wagon. and have the stuck "SRS Light On".
I've searched and seen the seat belt sensor/wire issues but my question is simple..maybe silly for the seasoned owners...
Is the center console SRS switch supposed to pop up to turn back on? This one in the picture doesn't.
I'd like to know if this is also a problem before going after the seat sensor switch.
Thanx for all your enthusiasm and experience!

That is just a indicator light - and even after "successful" sensor replacement I believe you will need Star to reset.
That said - there are "emulators" which plug-in to "replace/falsify" a correct sensor reading (rather than replacing the sensor itself) - again SRS will need to be reset.
Some use the emulator - or not - and "black out" the LED

Thanx Forme, I've learned a lot in a short time from the forum, I wasn't sure if that button turned on/off the SRS for child seats or whatever. Now I can tell my friend it's not a simple mechanical thing.
