NEEDED Harmonic Balancer Pulley Holder Tool

Anyone got one they are willing to sell?

I'd love to try to replace the pulley on my own. Read a few how to articles and threads. If I can't find the holding tool second hand, I will try this one as a cheaper possible alternative. It's made for Jaguar and Land Rover, but looks like it might work

EDIT per comment below: Part number for the tool is 112-0040

Haven't done it yet. I found the tool for cheap on http://store.pmdproducts.com/product...puller-holder/

The reason I haven't dived in myself is because of another problem that's preventing me from passing smog. Such a headache! One of the passageways from the secondary air pump through the engine and into the exhaust is clogged. I've been spraying carb cleaner into the passage and letting it sit in the hopes that it will eat through the build up. I'm giving it about a week. If it works, I'll move on to other repairs, but if not, then I think it might sayonara to my e320. Not sure what else to do.

One more thing, my mechanic wished me good luck with the harmonic balancer replacement saying that it's really tough even with the special tool! I'd still try it

I have the same problem, one passage way is clogged. I read about using a bicycle brake line and a cordless drill. However, my car did not trigger any CEL or anything once I got my pump running (it was a bad k40 module), even though one side is clogged. What problems with smog are you having?

Bicycle brake line and a drill sounds cool.

My dtc is P0410.

Is the k40 relay in the engine bay fuse box?
