Staten Island,,but I travel the Newark Bay ext.thru Jersy City daily,,we get jaunts of 100+,,but you cant sustain it because of many slow movers.This chip acts like a kick in the pants over 60,,I think thats the biggest difference from the stock ECU.That,and the mileage increase,,the chip will pay for itself.

This is very much a true statement, I never believe the company's claims rather I get my car strap on the rollers religiously to view the results. But, more importantly than just HP & TQ gains you need to get accurate a/f readings as I've experimented with different software tuning company's (RBTech, Upsolute) they sometimes lean out the mixture too much "lean is mean" that gives that snappy throttle response feeling but at the expense of running dangerously too lean as my car has. I had the company revise the sofware file when I showed them the dyno charts. I highly suggest anyone who does software tuning to get their car on a dyno for proper readings.

i just went to a dyno day saturday...but i had to leave before i could run. but i am happy i didn't pay because everyone that i spoke to said they messed up the dyno setting and was giving horrible readings.

I think it was 90.00 for 2 pulls..let me know if you are interested in going I want to do mine again. One of my buddies owns the shop and he just got a w211 E55..made 420 at the wheels with just K&N's...Where are you in the area, Im in Bethesda?

Hi Mike,
I just bought an '01 E430 4matic w/ 46k and was curious about your mpg. I am currently seeing 17/20mpg and am considering a power chip. I was curious to see if anyone could tell me what to expect in a 4matic. Do you have a K&N filter kit as well?

Hey Greg: I am getting 20-21 in town and 25-26 on the highway. Yes, I have a K & N filter. It appears the chip installation helped me 1-2 mpg overall. Call PowerChip or hit their Web site for more info. Be sure to ask for the Mercedes guy.
