Idle problem
This has been happening for about 6 months but I’ve just now had time to focus on it. The car in question is a 1997 E420. Sometimes after long drives when coming to a stop the car will stall or drop and catch itself but have trouble idling. Keeping the throttle slightly depressed will smooth the idle. It runs fine above 700RPM. After sitting for a while it runs perfect.
The plugs are new F8DC4, just had the visible vacuum hoses replaced, no CEL codes. Cruise control works. Replaced the MAF 10 months ago. When it stalls the ASR alert will come on the screen but that’s it.
Does any anyone have suggestions.
