H&R Lowering spring issue

H&R Lowering spring issue
Hey guys, let me pick your brain. I recently installed H&R sport lowering springs on my 01 E430 base. The springs are designed to lower the car 1.2" in the front and rear. After installing the springs the rear lowered 1/2" which isn't what was intended but that is not the issue. The front springs did not lower the car at all. In fact it lifted the front 1". Before you ask, the springs are the correct part #, they are not upside down, they are positioned properly in their seats, and the H&R reference sheet did not call for the top hats to be removed. I have been in touch with H&R but they're moving slower than a stock honda in a drag race. Am i missing something here or did i actually get 2 defective front springs? (What are the odds right?) I considered removing the top hat anyways, but that would really just bring it back to factory height and create more noise so im not keen to do that. Any ideas are welcome. Thanks.

if you are looking for folks to assist, it would be helpful if you include specific and detailed information regarding
your install:
the H&R part numbers... front vs rear
which part numbers did you install in the front...vs the rear
include any photos you have from the install, especially showing the spring positions (and any color code or part numbers)
At this point, folks reading your call for help are going to be at a disadvantage in terms of your install

fyi, Raymond, I would have asked for the same info from the OP.
...seen/read enough postings where OPs have provided info and still, have installed in the reverse.
I have not seen/read a case where "defective springs" have been sent by a reputable online seller (not saying that is the case here).
Improperly packaged, yes.

Most folks head to the forums seeking help to resolve a problem. Others come to the forums with presumptions and just to get a hug and validation of their interpretation of their problem like an AA group meeting.
Manufacturers make mistakes, yet can only provide as good information as the old garbage in...out saying.
Experienced problem solvers (like good computer geeks) ask tough questions and vet each step.
I learned from my lady friend that some people aren't interested in having their problem solved, but just want you to listen and let them vent. So just nod and say "I'm sorry..." :-)

So it's apparent that this is a one in a million type situation. I'll update after H&R resolves the issue. Btw ya'll are some typical forum vets LMAO stereotypical to a tee. 🍻

To let you know with W210's - it has been COMMON for aftermarket front/rear shock absorber's and/or springs to show in their respective catalogs "reversed" for the suspensions of W210 E55 and E430 - for whatever reason.
Sp - before you get your dander up - please understand experienced members here - were asking some of the right questions - so they could help.
Oh - by the way - you also did not mentioned what "pads" were pulled out - or if you put pads back in - so with regards lack of info and frankly attitude - feel free to fade ..

How long have the springs been in the car. Sometimes they settle over time.
