1997 E320 Check Engine Light
The CEL keeps coming on and nothing seems to be wrong. The car runs fine, no missing or anything. Starts good, runs good, shifts good. I have SDS, but I can only seem to read and clear the codes. When I try to query any modules I get an error saying something about a file that needs a 32 bit os and my computer has a 64 bit os. I can hook up to my other cars 2003 and newer, but I can't talk to the 1997. I can only clear the codes for the 97.
If I clear the code it comes back several days later.
I also have an icarsoft I980 but it can't read the codes either.
Do I need a c3 system running on win xp?

I wonder if one of those win xp hard drives from china would do the trick with my c4 and an old laptop.
They sell hard drives for 50 or so bucks with sds on it.
