18” wheels

My sons got a 98 E430. Looking at getting a set of 18” wheels and tires. It currently has the OEM 16” wheels. And they look too small now with it being lowered 1 1/2”. And they are set inside the wheel well. Looking for something to fill out the wheel well while still looking good. Looking for pics and offset/width.

thanks!

its not lowered in this pic.

I can tell you from personal experience that this will result in a firmer ride. My wagon is an advantgarde edition which already is 1" lower than the "normal" W210.

I have 18" and 17" rims, and the 18" result in a very firm / harsh ride. It is MUCH more comfortable with the 17".

If I recall, the factory size is 16" which will be a very different ride.

While the looks of the 17 or 18 do look great on the car, it may be not what your expecting.

Just my two cents worth.

very firm ride on harsh pavement but the Bilsteins are just compliant enough on medium/smooth roads
that it is very pleasurable to drive and ride in. it feels like it is on rails when the car is in slalom like
transitions. I really like the combo

17s are the most comfortable wheels I have had on my w210s. My 55 is on vogtland springs and there are places I just dont drive it because rough roads are not fun with 18s

i had vogtland but only had them on about 2 months. they were too stiff for me so I moved to the slightly softer Eibachs

W210 E55 Monoblocks. One of the best looking wheels on these cars. They are pricey though for a complete set in nice shape now.

My wagon on W211 E63 wheels. They do require custom lug bolts to fit. That info can be found here if you spend a lot of time searching.
