Does anyone know if the 2000-2002 E55 AMG ever came with an all-Ash (light gray) interior? Has anyone ever seen one? Are ALL of the E55 interiors either two-tone or Charcoal?

 

Ok Mikey, its been a while since this was posted so I'd decided to check my AMG options catalogue - the answer is no. There are only 3 interior options for the 00-02 E55, two which are two tone and one single tone which is the dark grey:

1) anthracite/anthracite (521)
2) anthracite/ruby red (527)
3) anthracite/grey (528)

The only AMG that has an all light grey interior is the SL55 which is the alpaca grey (288/Exclusive leather 588) with the exclusive leather being optional.

Since, there is not AMG steering wheel that will match my interior, I went ahead and bought a Brabus Ash Gray/Burled Walnut steering wheel. Got it at a great price from Steve, the Parts Pimp in the Netherlands.

Is that a two-tone exterior paint scheme?

 

I believe here in the States, Anthracite is known as Charcoal (as far as Benz interior colors, that is).
