Hello MB guys ,i have a friend which he has a w210 yr 96, 6 cylinder ,he telling me that model have a manufactured defect in the ECM and also the 202 model is the same ,he searched on a Russian MB forums ,he found that defect is found in w210 produced before 97 and they made a succeed modification on the ECM to avoid that defect and they proud to made that modification on the german made ...anyway is that right ? Especially my friend's w210 begin to act wired ,it always turned off and when he ignition it stay for 30mins and then it turned off, after checking every thing in the ignition cycle and fuel pump and every thing you can imagine,still the same but after he checked a Russian MB forums he found that defect, so he change all the ECU ,ECM unit with another one and the car works good again but is that defect ll be appear again because he didn't made the Russian modification which they claimed they did it because he didn't know what is it...so friends im waiting your opinions ..thanks alot
