W210 sedan trunk lid problem

Out Of Control!!
You either have a failing PSE pump or a trunk lock actuator. Do what everyone does, the FUYAA and change everything and waste loads of time and money!!. The obvious is to diagnose the locking system!

what he said.... and also the cheapest fix may also be the cause: old, brittle air hoses and connectors allowing air to lose pressure
prematurely. the hose exiting the PSE pump is labeled "HECK" I recall. you can inspect the hose entering the trunk locking
mechanism as well while you're at it. good luck and I hope it's an easy hose fix instead of the more expensive causes.
