Wheel lug size for W210

I want to get wheel locks for my car. Can somebody tell me what's the lug size? Saw in eBay for 12x1.5 and 14x1.5. <-- Not sure if it going to fit.

Wheel Locks 12x1.5

Wheel Locks 14x1.5

It is 12mm but if you're using OEM wheels, the lug seat is wrong on those, DO NOT USE THEM!!!!! (see pic, it should be rounded):

Make sure they have a ball seat and not a cone seat. You will need longer thread that the first picture shown. The bolt needs to turn 6 times before it snugs down. any more turns, the bolt is too long and will come out the back side of the rotor and hit the emergency brake in the back. Less that 6 turns will be to short to safely hold the wheel on. Make sure the tread length is 1.5 inches. Don't confuse this with the total bolt length. You can get different head lengths too.

Hey E, is it me or does that lug seat looks a little flatter, a bit like the 14mm ones?

I was told that the ball seat radius is the same on the 12mm and the 14mm because the head size is 17mm on both. Only the threaded part is a smaller diameter.

** Note: If wheel spacers are used, add that thickness to the bolt length.

You might recall, I'd posted a picture earlier comparing the two, the 14mm one is definitely flatter (but still a ball joint) - which is the reason why W211 and S-Class wheels are dangerous (in addition to the larger holes). Let me try to find it again.....

Try http://www.pure-motorsport.com/
I think they carry both lock bolts and lug bolts.

Yep E, the radius may be the same but the contact surface is sure different....the reason why using a 12mm bolt on a 14mm wheel will be very weak (the longer tapered end of the ball of the 12mm bolt will prevent the wider part from biting into the curve of the wheel) - check this out, 12mm on the right and 14mm on the left:

I have 18's Lowenhart Ld1. Without a garage to park in while at college, I hope this wheel locks will keep my wheels from being stolen.

Beware different wheels (offset and brand) have different thread/bolt length, as well as bolt seat requirements.........best to pull out one of the current ones to look and measure, just my humble $0.02

Brabus and Stock Bolts

Just bought a set of used chrome Brabus Monoblock IVs for my e430 (18x8.5 5x112 offset=35) and they didn't come with bolts. Was planning on just using the stock bolts until I can find some chome ones - until I read this thread.

1. Anybody know if these are ball or cone seats? Can you tell by just looking?

2. Anybody know a source for Chrome lug bolts?
