2002 E320 4 Matic Wagon dome light comes on when turning
So, i love my estate... when making turns the interior lights come on... I don't mind so much during the day but, at night, it is annoying... Any idea where to start looking? I am at a complete loss... I do have a light malfunction that comes on but, my understanding that is for the vehicle lights and I think it has to do with a brake light... Any ideas??

easy way to confirm and test is to tape a coin (as a shim) opposite the door plunger light switch and drive
around. the anomaly should vanish. then, you can order the replacement door switch which is a low labor
install for around $20. more likely than not this happens with the front driver side door as it is used most
often (vs RF, RR, LR doors/switches)
oh yeah, LIGHT MALFUNCTION...you need to describe exactly when the light warning appears, e.g. "as
soon as I....." otherwise, just use that same link above and look for each bulb and verify filaments are
intact. there is a list of all the bulbs interrogated by the light warning system.
