power windows dont work

2001 e 320 formatic sedan. Had to replace the shifter due to a spilled drink. All systems have come back on-line except power windows and power mirrors.
I was able to close the windows by using key fob. How do i get the switches back on-line?

this is the long was because you no doubt dont want to get a good scan to quickly learn the fault, therefore when fob in correct position do you have power to the switches, thats the first step

from a bystander perspective, based on your description, it sounds like the center console switches...windows/mirror
have been gunked up. this is bad, especially if your drink is sugary which is sticky when dried and will continue to
attract particles to further insulate the contacts.

if you're lucky, perhaps contact cleaner will help dissolve and clean the switches. you can consider investing in a can
of it and empty jet spraying int into the switches and being sure to let it dry out afterwards.

I don't know how badly damaged they can become. worse case scenario: replace the whole panel if you can find an
exact match on ebay or some such.
