98 E300 cowl replacement
98 E300 Broken cowl right side. note: it is solid, not vented
I need to replace both cowls on my W210. MB has discontinued this part!! All aftermarket OEM cowls which are supposed to fit W210s have vent slots across the whole cowl. I'd really like the replacement cowls to look like the originals( no slots), and I am also leery of getting parts that seem to function so differently and may not fit. Does anyone have any suggestions? Is it usual for MB to cancel a part that was used on so many cars? Thanks in advance!

The rubber strip on those only seems to last 3-4 years if you keep the car outside. If you find some and are worried about them becoming no longer available, buy extras. I've never had them break though, the rubber strip just cracks and looks terrible.
