All of them, as much as I can...
Usually a $780 or so option. Probably worth $400. My dealer threw one in free...
on each of 3 cars I've bought from them.
Congrats BTW on your purchase of a really fine automobile.

check this link, then go to the build your own tab and then click accessories.
6-disc CD changer
You should print it out and show it to him.

You may also want to try checking a few MB dealers in your area. Some dealers charge more than others depending how good your relationship is with that dealer. At least this is what i have experienced around here in my area.

2002 CLK 55 AMG Coupe ;)
This is such an archaic issue.
MB is light years behind car current car manufacturers, who are providing a 6 disk in-dash changer, tape and radio combination in $20,000 Japanese car -- as STANDARD equipment.
To buy cartridges -- and go to the trunk to change them and to pay for it -- is simply laughable and an outrage!!
Congrats on a GREAT E-55!

Half the price in Europe
I have always been amazed at the tag price of the cd changer, in Europe it is half the price than the US. One of the few things that is much cheaper here. I agree, they are being mean not to include in E55, or there may be another reason, who knows ?

BenH, No problems with my E55, however, as I type this it only has 220 miles on it. No time to drive it. Anyone wanna break it in for me? Yeah Right!
As far as the CD Changer in the trunk - We are talking about the W210, the W210 is the oldest mid size chassis compared to 5-Series, Lexus GS, Jag S-Type, Audi A6, etc. It has been around since 1995 and I do not believe anyone had an indash changer that far back? When you have a chassis in production it is difficult to add certain things (I guess).
Newer Chassis like the W203 C-Class and the upcoming W211 E-Class have that option.
